La Pinnata Del Monsú

I would give this 5 stars but my partner didn’t. I’ll say the octopus appetizer with carrot was amazing. He had the tuna with peach and escarole……. It saved the day for him. I enjoyed all of my courses but the pumpkin flan is delicious but not overly large. Lovely wine pairings. Great patio, a bit cool due to October. I’ll be back in summer!

This is the perfect place, we came in near closing after long day of traveling and we had the most delicious food ever. The best shrimp pasta I ever had, also just an amazing view. You can’t go wrong having lunch or Dinner here. It felt like having dinner in someone’s private home. And the owner was so chill and kind, I’ll remember this place for ever. It’s worth traveling to! I wish I had pics of the food, but we are everything very fast.

We went for dinner last night ( we are in mid October) it was dreamy. The food was delicious and the menu offered some great options it was hard to choose because everything looked good. We were not disappointed, I had red prawn starter followed by a anchovie pasta both where exceptional.

Lovely restaurant in Malfa. The food was well prepared, seasonal, local and delicious. Really good cooking going on here. Small but solid wine list and excellent service. We are here 2x in 3 days. Highly recommended.

We did not have a reservation but fortunately arrived at the time of opening. By the time we left the restaurant was nearly full and it was a Monday at the end of September, end of season. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. We had the crunchy octopus and ravioli with ricotta and capers pesto. Followed by local tuna (seared to perfection) and spada involtini. We got a side of potatoes with capers as well. To top it off we got the lemonmisu and semifreddo capers. The owner could not have been nicer. We come to Salina at least once a year and will add this place to our list of must stops.

I've visited many restaurants in Malfa, and this one truly stands out as a gem. The atmosphere is inviting, the food is excellent, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. One small suggestion I'd make is regarding the accessibility of the menu. The font style was a bit difficult to read, and as a designer, it caught my eye right away. Improving this would make the overall experience even better.

Our favorite Restaurant in Salina. The food is absolut great. We had pasta as starter and Tuna as main course. The menue is a bit fancy but also traditional, the presentation of the plates was very tasteful. The price level is reasonable. Service was good, the location with its view and nice terrace ist amazing. Absolutely recommendable!

Despite some quite undeserved 1-star reviews, this is in fact a very good restaurant that can compete with all fine dining options on Salina except of course the Michelin restaurant at Signum (which also comes with a completely different price tag)… The pasta is freshly made, which seems to confuse some palates. Everything we tasted was nicely presented, tasted and smelled delicious and gave the ingredients justice. They are experts with seafood, but the polpettine were extremely convincing as well. They have a well curated wine list that allows to stay on Salina and taste some of their best wines as well as choosing from a selection of Sicilian wines. The ambiance is very cute and cozy inside and on the patio. The staff is very attentive and service was swift and efficient. We enjoyed our stay at Pinnata del Monsu a lot and it sometimes quite upsets me, how fellow reviewers don’t seem to be able to balance their reviews fair and wisely any more. Unjustified 1-star reviews are nothing but destructive and help neither the business nor considerate customers looking for a nice experience…
